Technology
Software for operations, chosen and implemented starting from the business problem.
Why so many digital projects fail to create value
- 01Technology before process
- 02Requirements far from the business
- 03Vendors who only know the tool
- 04Data without decisions
- 05Adoption that never happens
- 06Return never measured
Technology that starts from the business
We are the only ones who, even when we talk about technology, start from an understanding of the business: we have run companies and we advise on business every day. That is why the solutions we propose create more value for our clients.
Three things we do every day
- 01
We have held business roles
Operations, supply chain, quality, finance and sales management: we know the decisions a system has to support.
- 02
We advise on the business
Strategy, economic and financial performance and lean operations: we know where value is created and where it is lost.
- 03
We implement the technology
MES, SCADA, historian, QMS and CMMS: we design, integrate and bring the solutions into operation.
More value from technology
Every project starts from KPIs, processes and financial objectives, and is measured on the results achieved, not on the go-live.
Two ways to run a technology project
- Starting point
- The business problem, the KPIs and the expected value
- Who designs it
- Former managers and business consultants with technology skills
- Processes
- Simplified with lean thinking, then digitised
- Choice of solution
- The best-suited technology, from our own products and leading partners
- People
- Engagement, new roles and management routines
- Measure of success
- The results, measured against a shared baseline
Vision, priorities and investment roadmap, digital included.
Analysis of results and benchmarking against the peer group.
Flows, standards and continuous process improvement.
Roles, leadership and skills development.
Leading and coordinating operations on the client’s behalf.
More efficient, agile, reliable and sustainable operations

Inproov is a consulting firm headquartered in Padua, Italy. It combines Lean Management and human resources management: it improves companies’ processes and develops the people who run them. When needed, it selects and implements software for operations.
Because lasting improvement, the kind that becomes part of people’s habits, needs both skill sets. That is why every Inproov consultant combines technical expertise in applied Lean Management with knowledge of human resources management, and works with top management and operational staff alike.
Some examples from our projects: delivery times cut from 4 weeks to 3 days in 6 months, on-time delivery up from 54% to 97% in 9 months, €50 million less inventory at the same revenue. Results are agreed at the start and measured against a shared baseline.
Industrial goods, automotive, consumer goods and retail (including large-scale retail), services and healthcare. We work on operations, supply chain, product development, sales and service, quality, governance and administration.
No. Our headquarters are in Padua, but we work with companies throughout Italy and also on projects at our clients’ plants abroad.
In three phases. Overview (one day plus one): interviews, business overview, needs collection and problem framing. Assessment (a few weeks): current-state analysis, cost and savings estimate, future-state plan. Delivery (a few months): project team, people engagement, implementation of the solutions and change management.
Yes, if needed. We do not stop at recommendations: we design, build and run together with our clients. After the project we can support governance and follow-up (1–2 years), provide Operations Management as a Service (2–3 years) or run operations in outsourcing (5–7 years).
Among other things: line and plant layout, value stream organisation, just-in-time and flow processes, pull and kanban systems, setup time reduction, preventive maintenance, quality improvement and continuous improvement programmes.
Motivation and engagement, situational and Lean leadership, climate and culture analysis, organisational structures, roles and responsibilities, OKRs, training processes, staff turnover reduction, operator multi-skilling and autonomous teams.
Yes, starting from the business problem: technology accelerates improvement, it is not an end in itself. The solutions we offer are Virtus QMS, Opera, AVEVA System Platform & Historian, AVEVA MES, Tulip and IFS Ultimo, selected and implemented to fit the problem.
